Medication Dispensing and Counselling

Our Pharmacies are located within NHG Polyclinics.  We provide dispensing services to polyclinic patients and the general public.

NHG Pharmacy carries a wide range of prescription and over-the-counter medications for treatment of acute and long-term medical conditions. We also accept external prescriptions from other public institutions (e.g. hospitals, specialist centres) as well as private clinics.

Our pharmacies also stock a variety of Pharmacy-Only Medicines. There are medicine that are not available over-the-counter, but can be obtained through a pharmacist, without a doctor's prescription. They are used to treat minor ailments such as cough and common flu. 

Counselling

Our pharmacists are trained healthcare professionals registered with the Singapore Pharmacy Council. Other than filling your doctor's prescription, our pharmacists can:

• Help you understand what your medicine are for.
• Explain how your medicine work in your body.
• Help you use your medicine safely, correctly and effectively.
• Advise you on how to deal with missed doses.
• Advise you on medicine side effects.
• Advise you on potential interactions of your medicine with food or other medicine.
• Help you understand and manage your medical conditions better.
• Provide advice on lifestyle management and general healthcare needs such as self-medication, travel medicine and vaccination, selection of health supplements, suitable homecare and first-aids needs.
