    Minor Ailments and Self-Medication

At one time or another, you may suffer from the symptoms of common ailments such as fever, heartburn or constipation.

In some cases, the symptoms resolve after self treatment with over-the-counter (OTC) medicine or other traditional remedies.

However, simple conditions which initially seem benign may turn complicated despite self treatment.  It is important to know when to stop taking medicine on your own and see a doctor or another health professional.

In the articles below, you'll find relevant information and guidelines on how to prevent, control the symptoms and treat common ailments. Consult our pharmacist if you have any questions about your medications.
